To create a shortcut for your dialer:
Now, let's create a shortcut to the Humboldt Internet connection so you can access it easily from the desktop. Go into My Computer and double-click on Dial-Up Networking. In Dial-Up Networking, click the More button and select Create shortcut to entry. A Windows dialog box will appear asking you where you want to place your shortcut. Click Ok. You'll now have a Humboldt Internet icon on your Desktop.
Double-click on the Humboldt Internet icon on the Desktop. This will bring up a box asking for your login name and your password (remember that they should always be in lowercase). Your login name and your password are on your signup sheet. Remember that your login name does not have @humboldt1.com in it!
If the box marked Save Password is lit, check it so you won't have to type in your password everytime you connect.
Click on the Connect button to connect.
After you're connected to us, start up the Internet program you want to use. There are tutorials in your setup packet and on our website that cover downloading and installing Eudora and Netscape.
Don't forget to disconnect from us when you're done.
To disconnect:
