How to Make Internet Explorer
Dial the Internet Automatically

Open up My Computer,
then open the Control Panel

Open the Internet Options

You'll see a panel pop up that looks like this, though your panel may look a little different depending on which version of Internet Explorer you are using.

Click on the Connections tab at the top of the panel.

In the Dial-up settings box, highlight Humboldt Internet

Check the box that says Dial whenever a network connection is not present

Uncheck the box that says Perform system security check before dialing

Then click OK and the panel will disappear.

Now, the next time you start Internet Explorer,
it will automatically dial and connect to the Internet for you!

Please note that automatic dialing is not a supported feature of Internet Explorer. Though it usually works just fine, it will occassionally stop working for no apparent reason. In these situations, the only thing Humboldt Internet can do is check your settings to make sure that these instructions were followed. Microsoft's technical support may or may not be able to provide assistance with problems related to automatic dialing.
