What is Humboldt Internet's e-mail address?

Do you bill? When do I need to pay my bill?

Payments are due on the first of each month. If you're on credit card billing, we will bill your card on the first of the month. On the first of each month, we send out e-mailed reminders to everybody on the system - even if you've already paid or if you pay by credit card.

Payments are late if they are not received by the tenth of the month. If your payment is late, the computer will automatically disable your account until we receive your payment. If it's around the middle of the month and your password quits working, please check to see if you brought in a payment for that month yet, and then give us a call.

A popular option is to pay by credit card. Call us or come into our office and ask to be switched to credit card billing, and we will automatically charge your credit card on the 1st of each month.

Another option is to pay a month ahead of time. That way, on the 1st of each month you're a month ahead instead of a day behind.

Where Can I Take Computer Classes?

We have a community computer lab. Use of the lab, including our classes, are FREE for Humboldt Internet customers. Our classes cover a wide variety of topics from basic mouse skills to advanced Microsoft Access programming. Please check the Class Calendar on our website for more information.

Do I Get a Web Page? How Do I Upload My Web Page?

With the $20 account, you get ten (10) megabytes of space on our server, which you can use to put up a web page. Ten megabytes is enough for a really grand web page with plenty of photos.

For information on uploading a web page, check out the Tutorials section of our website,

Does my computer have a virus?

Through the use of email and other electronic exchanges between computers it is possible for your computer to contract a virus. A virus is an unwanted and sometimes harmful program that can cause your computer to malfunction. For more information on computer "Viruses" we suggest you visit the Symantec AnitVirus Research Center. There is a lot of good information here as well as some downloads that can help you if you have a virus on your machine.

We cannot provide assistance with viruses and related problems. Your best bet is to purchase some decent antivirus software and to contact the manufacturer of that software if you're having virus-related trouble.

Email to someone@hotmail.com is sometimes not received?

MSN's hotmail.com has been known to blackhole messages. This means that you send a message to someone@hotmail.com, we deliver it to hotmail.com, and the message seems to disappear. It won't arrive in either the hotmail.com user's inbox or junk mail folder.

Based on other ISP user complaints, ISPs seeing the same problem other than Humboldt Internet, we can assume that they are using overly strict spam filtering rules and are blackholing the messages.

We recommend having the hotmail.com user complain to hotmail.com.
